House League U5-U8 Tournament 

The tournament for players aged U5-U8 will take place June 20 and 21, 2009.  Location and schedules TBA.

Volunteers are needed in food concessions, first-aid training, field set-up and take down, or helping direct traffic.  If you can help at all during any time of the tournament please call 905-429-2424 or let your field convenor know. Thank you in advance to all volunteers!

Concession:

Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the weekend.

Parental Conduct:


All tournament games for every age level will be scored and refereed by an Oshawa Kicks Referee. This does not mean parents can make comments or yell at the referees.  All parents are asked to refrain from making any negative comments towards referees.  If any parents are bothering the referees with complaints then that parent will be told to leave for the remainder of the tournament. Last year’s tournament was a huge success and we plan on making this year’s tournament even better!!! To make sure that all the kids have a safe and fun experience we would ask that all parents keep in mind these few tips:


Hydration: Kids are susceptible to dehydration, please remember to bring water, juice etc. to keep the kids hydrated. Speaking with other parents may allow you to arrange a drink or snack schedule, oranges are a good snack to have.

 
Sunscreen: Make sure all kids have sunscreen, whether the kids usually get sunburned or not, all are exposed to UV rays and sunstroke.  Wearing hats is also a good idea that will protect the kids throughout the day (but hats are not permitted to be worn during games as this is a safety hazard).

 
Eating: Preparing snacks throughout the day will also ward off dehydration and will give the kids energy to enjoy the day.
